Gator's Backyard Breaks Radio Silence on THEY SLEW THE DREAMER

Jongleur Music Company Announcement

In one of the most remarkable broadcasting events an internet radio station, Radio Louisiana aka Gator's Backyard, adds THEY SLEW THE DREAMER to their playlist. The music recording is track #1 on the newly charted CD Album THEY SLEW THE DREAMER and has been the subject of front page news since it's release in 1977 due to it's controversial lyrics about the MLK assassination. Now, after almost 30 years of fear by radio stations and broadcasters here in the US one courageous program/music director has taken steps to change the environment on the mystery and intimidation connected with the song. The man's name is Robert Partigianoni. He is the owner/operator and program/music director of a little internet radio station based in Leesville, Louisiana and Gator's Backyard is the breaking station of this controversial music recording.

Gary Revel and attorney Mary Noel wrote the song in 1977 after interviewing James Earl Ray behind the walls of Brushy Mountain Prison in Tennessee. Mr. Ray was the falsely convicted assassin of Martin Luther King Jr. and Gary was covertly investigating the case against him at the time. The song was recorded at the fabled Acuff-Rose studios on Franklin Road in Nashville Tennessee and soon released as a single on the Jack Kershaw owned Rebel Records label. It almost immediately was the subject of a very nasty frontpage news story in the Nashville Banner that pictured the record sleeve with THEY SLEW THE DREAMER, Gary Revel and the words 'James Earl Ray Promotion Gimmicks'. This single blow killed the chances of any commercial success for the record at the time.

Time does heal and many things have changed. Gary's investigation has brought new information to light about the MLK assassination that is impossible to refute or deny, even by the US Government. His new CD Album release DEEP MOUNTAIN LAKE has hit #26 on the Roots Music Report and cuts from the CD are getting played here in the US and in Europe. The music is available on the Jongleur Music label and is published by Sony/ATV MIlene now because Sony bought Acuff-Rose a couple of years ago. Other stations that are playing Gary's music include Easy Listening, RandBradio.com, Easy Listening, Radio724.NL, Classic Country, DannyAdams.com and more.
